Day 1: Arrival and Tour of the Highlights: Rome
Our staff will welcome you at one of the Airports of Rome, both located about 40 minutes from the city centre. Transfer to Rome with private taxi and check-in at Hotel Raffaello (or similar) or in a central apartment selected by us. We have selected for you the best accommodation in the city centre of Rome following your desires and needs. Enjoy a private Tour of the Eternal City with an authorized local guide to appreciate in the best way the history of the eternal city. You will see the Highlights of the Eternal City such as Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Spanish Steps and a lot more. Beautiful Squares, elegant Palaces and stunning Churches will welcome you in this ancient city. For dinner let’s enjoy one of our favorite restaurants in the lively district of Trastevere. At Popi Popi (or similar) you can taste some antipasti Misti, a plate of pasta carbonara, vino della casa and a tiramisù. The local dishes and vibrant atmosphere will create the perfect location to appreciate real Roman dishes. Overnight in one of our selected apartment/hotel in Rome.
Day 2: Vatican, lunch and Transfer to Naples. Let’s meet near the Vatican and have a typical Italian breakfast with croissant and cappuccino. At the Vatican our guide shows you the masterpieces of St Peter’s square and St Peter’s basilica (from outside), then we walk to Castel Sant’Angelo and over on the bridge of the angels from where you can take one of the best pictures of the dome built by Michelangelo. We reach the local market of Campo Dei Fiori and we have a Food Tour to try some Roman delicacies such as supplì, porchetta, coppiette, prosciutto, cheese-tasting and maritozzo. In the afternoon we take the high speed train to Naples. Check-in at the hotel Neapolitan Republic Suite (or similar) or in a central apartment selected by us. You will see the best that this beautiful and contradictory city can give. The ancient city is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Napoletani people are unique, you love them or you hate them. Discover the millenary Neapolitan Cuisine and the characteristics of its inhabitants by walking through the Narrow Streets full of life and beauty. A real Pizza Margherita will wait for you in one of the most famous Pizzerias of Naples (Sorbillo or similar) along the Lungomare Caracciolo. The Seafront Promenade of Naples, the Lungomare Via Caracciolo, is gorgeous with its Cafès and Bakeries. This is the Best Place to take wonderful Pictures at Sunset. Overnight Stay in a central apartment in Naples.
Day 3: Food Tour in Naples
Discover the city Centre of Naples with our Guided Tour. First of all we start the day with a delicious pastry from Naples: a sfogliatella and a Napolitan espresso. Our Authorized Tour Guide will show you Piazza del Plebiscito, Galleria Umberto I, the colourful Spaccanapoli, San Gregorio Armeno and the famous Dome of Naples. You will be also delighted by some culinary stops to try some salty and sweet delicacies (6 tastings). Free afternoon to explore places you don’t want to miss. Otherwise you can visit the best Shopping Streets and shop for prestigious Fashion Brands or for Souvenirs. But don’t forget, we will be happy to help you with any information you need. We meet again at 7 pm for dinner in a typical trattoria of Naples (Nennella or similar). Overnight Stay in your apartment/hotel in Naples.
Day 4: Transfer to Sorrento and visit Pompeii
After a typical breakfast, leave your apartment and reach Pompeii on the shores of the Gulf of Naples with Circumvesuviana together with our Tour Leader. We bring you your luggage to Sorrento so you don’t need to bring heavy weights during the day. Pompeii was buried by the Eruption of the Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. A thick layer of volcanic ashes and lapilli preserved most of the buildings. Today we can see this magic Roman city almost as it was 2000 years ago. Our local guide will make Roman history alive. Visit the wonderful Forum from which you have an impressive view of the Vesuvius, the Thermopolium, an ancient Roman Fast Food, the theatre, the insulae and a lot more. For lunch we have an exclusive experience for you: lunch and wine tasting at the slopes of the Vesuvius, the only active volcano of the Italian peninsula. After lunch transfer with circumvesuviana to Sorrento and check-in at Sorrento studios lemon hill (or similar) . After the sunset let’s have a dinner in one of our favorite restaurants in Sorrento (Da Emilia or similar). Overnight Stay in Sorrento, a small city surrounded by breathtaking landscapes on the Gulf of Naples, territory of the World-famous Limoncello liqueur.
Day 5: Amalfi Coast
Breakfast in Sorrento in a nice coffee-bar with local pastries and cappuccino/coffee/tea. The Amalfi Coast is synonymous with enchanted Beauty and History. Kilometers of incredible cliffs, small villages and hills decorated with Lemon trees, Olive Groves and coloured Domes. Picturesque Positano and Amalfi , the city that gives its name to the entire Coast, are simply stunning. The latter was one of the Four Italian Maritime Republics during the Middle Ages, it is dominated by the beautiful Amalfi Cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew. Enjoy the narrow and colorful streets full of Handmade Local Ceramics. Today we have booked for you a bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. In Amalfi let’s have a light lunch with spaghetti seafood and a delicious dessert made with lemons. After a stroll in Amalfi we reach Positano by boat so you can enjoy the amazing coast from the coast and from the sea. This is the most beautiful Coastline in Europe, listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. We return back to Sorrento by bus. Dinner in one of the best pizzerias of Sorrento (Basilico or similar). Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Day 6: Capri
Breakfast in Sorrento. Boat Transfer from Sorrento to the Island of Capri. You will be Free to discover the Villages of Capri and Anacapri at your pace*. The Island deserves an entire day to enjoy its Natural Beauties, beautiful flowers and fabulous Panoramic Views over the Romantic Faraglioni. We start with a boat Tour around the island to see the colorful grottos such as the famous blue grotto. After the boat Tour we take the funicular up to the Piazzetta, the VIPs favorite square. You can have a stroll to the Tragara point, the gardens of Augustus or shop in the luxurious boutiques of Capri. Let’s have a light lunch at Anacapri with a caprese salad and a plate of pasta. You are free to discover the island at your own peace without stress. We have always some recommendations for you: don’t miss the Monte Solaro, the Highest and Most Panoramic point on the Island, and the splendid Villa of San Michele. When the sea is calm, you can enter the incredible Blue Grotto (not included in the package) by taking an extra boat trip around the Island. Day 7: Transfer back to Rome
Breakfast in Sorrento. Transfer with train from Sorrento to Rome. We bring your luggages to Rome so you don’t need to bring heavy weights. Check in at hotel Raffaello (or similar). Use this free day to explore places you don’t want to miss. Use your Travel Organizer skills and set off! Our Tour Leader can give you the best tips to enjoy the Eternal City at its best. Otherwise you can visit the best Shopping Streets and shop for prestigious Fashion Brands or for Souvenirs. .
Day 8: Enjoy your flight back
Breakfast with cappuccino and croissant. End of the Tour. Enjoy your Flight back home!
