Rome in a day & Food Tour Rome from the Port of Civitavecchia

We will pick you up outside of the Port of Civitavecchia and bring you to the train station. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Rome by train. Your English speaking Licensed Tour Leader will introduce you to the Eternal City using a Map. Once in Rome, you will visit the Vatican State, St Peter’s Basilica and St Peter’s Square from the outside. If there is no long line you can enter the church. A taxi will get you to Piazza Navona originally the Stadium of the Emperor Domitian. With only 10 minutes walk you reach the Pantheon, the Temple of all Gods, the best preserved Monument of the Ancient Rome. You will easily walk to reach the Trevi Fountain and then stunning Venezia Square, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view over the ancient Roman Forum and the Colosseum, one of the seven Wonders of the World. Now it’s time to enjoy Rome as a Local! After a typical Italian Aperitivo with cold cuts, porchetta and cheese you will also try an authentic Roman Pasta Carbonara. The Best Gelato will be the icing on the cake. Unfortunately it’s time to say goodbye, but you surely have lots of pictures and good memories. We will bring you back to Civitavecchia at 4,30 pm.
